At Whitepine, we realize and understand that some times people can find it hard to “make ends meet.” There are times when surprise bills or expenses show up and we aren’t sure how we are going to pay them. While it may not be much, we do have Sobeys gift cards available for those who just need a bit extra for some food; or maybe you need to travel by bus or train to a funeral or other major life event- we may be able to help with a ticket. We have helped people pay their rent, electric bills, and even put gas in the car. We have also helped people move, or offered a home-cooked meal for those who were in need. If you have a specific need, we may be able to help (depending on what resources we have available at the time). Just contact the office and we get back to you as soon as we can.
